Sending documents to patients via IDEAS

Documents can be sent to a patient's Salve app straight from within IDEAS.

Sending a document

  1. While viewing a patient's record, navigate to the Documents screen in the folders menu
  2. Click New... at the top
  3. Choose the file from your computer
  4. Choose a file type from the dropdown menu and click save
  5. Right-click on the file, then choose Publish to portal
  6. A pop-up will appear showing you that the file has been sent

The file will be sent almost immediately to the patient and they'll receive a notification.

Once the file has been sent, you'll also be able to see it on the patient's profile in the portal:

Deleting a document

If you need to rescind a document from the patient's app, just right-click on the document in IDEAS and select Delete from the right-click menu. The file will be removed from the patient's app almost immediately.

Alternatively, you can delete the file from within the Salve portal by going to the patient's profile > Patient Documents, then clicking on the red minus sign.
