Unlink a partner from a patient in IDEAS

With Salve, partners of patients undergoing treatment can also get involved with their own Salve account - of course, with the patient's permission. You can read more about how that works by clicking here. 

But sometimes the patient may wish to rescind a partner's access to their treatment information, perhaps due to separation or other personal reasons. You can quickly and easily do this by removing or ending their relationship within IDEAS. The partner will still have their own 'patient' record with your clinic, but it will no longer be linked to the patient. The partner will cease to see medications or appointments of the patient, both past and upcoming.

Remove the relationship

1. Open up the patient's file
2. Click on Demographic details in the left-hand folder navigation
3. Click on the Relationships tab
4. Click on the Partner
5. Click on the Remove relation... button
6. Confirm Yes in the pop-up box

After a couple of minutes this action will sync with Salve and the partner will no longer have access to information about the patient's medications or appointments.

End the relationship via timing

1. Open the patient's file
2. Click on Demographic details in the left-hand folder navigation
3. Click on the Relationships tab
4. Click on the Partner
5. Click on the Edit button
6. In the To field, change the date to some point in the past
7. Click OK

After a couple of minutes this action will sync with Salve and the partner will no longer have access to information about the patient's medications or appointments.
